Having now had E2's on the P226, P227, and M11A1/ P229, I can tell you that all three are shaped differently. I didn't really care for them on the P226, but they are outstanding on the M11A1. One of the biggest differences, which you can easily see in photos, is how "undercut" the backstrap of the E2 is on the P226.I think that Mec-Gar 18rd P229 mag comes with a +3 adapter so it is not flush fit and will be slightly loose because it is the same width as a P226 mag. Mec-Gar also makes a 17rd P229-1 mag that fits the M11-A1 magwell perfectly, but it has a +2 adapter.
