You are not a U.S. citizen until you take the Oath of Allegiance at a naturalization ceremony. They had a group of about 10-20 people taking the oath every 15 min starting at 9.30 am until my ceremony at 10.30. I could have taken the oath at 9.30 when I arrived, but I told my family to be there at 10.30am so I watched a couple ceremonies happen, then took the oath when they got there.For those who have experienced the Naturalization process recently (preferably New York City), How long after your interview (assuming final approval is granted) can you expect to have your oath ceremony? I understand they say the default 30-90days? could it be earlier?
