I mistakenly tried to start my truck with an identical-looking spare key from another truck. It triggered a theft-deterrent episode and now the fuel is disabled. On startup, it runs a couple seconds and displays the symbol as it shuts down. The manual says to contact the dealership. I plan to get inspection 1st , then disconnect the battery to try and reboot the theft system. Like I said I tried to reset it by using key in on position 10 mins and off for 5 secs and recycled for 3 attempts (a few times) Light never flashes or resets. TRUCK still runs fine. No theft lock out.It was after I restarted the truck I noticed the Theft system light had come on. I have since tried everything I and everyone so far on web has thought of. I did the 10min key on off 5 secs and 10mins on again 3xs . But because truck still starts and runs fine it will not reset. I am lost now.
