Colt doesn't list the weight of the 4 inch barreled King Cobra, but I wouldn't think it would weigh a lot more than the 3-inch barreled model. The weight of a 4 inch barreled Python is listed as 42 ounces. And besides, I already have another good-quality Colt .357 “Snake Gun,” that being the King Cobra, which holds its own degree of sentimental value for me. The Python is more of a custom gun with a lot of fine tuning and was not as durable as the 686/586. Also, back when Colt made Pythons and King Cobras the 686/586 was a 6-shot revolver as well.
